turn )i turn. Run nut down on studuntil fin ger tight,
then u se w rench to turn nut at le a st th ree turns.
Spring is now "caged."
NOTE: If both cham bers are to be rem oved,
p erform Step 2 on each BEFORE proceeding
fu rth er.
3. Open a ir tank drain v a lv es and exhaust
p r e s s u r e from brake sy ste m .
4. D iscon n ect a ir lin e s at cham ber.
NOTE: If only the em ergency parking cham ber
n eeds to be rem oved, th is may be done at this
point by rem oving rea r clam p ring and liftin g rear
cham ber a ssem b ly off front (se rv ice) cham ber.
5. D iscon n ect push rod c le v is from sla c k ad­
ju ster.

. R em ove nuts and lock w ash ers from mount­
ing studs.
7. R em ove "Anchorlok" brake cham ber from
mounting bracket.
Installation
1. P la c e "Anchorlok" cham ber in p osition on
mounting bracket.
2. In stall lock w a sh ers and nuts on stu d s.
3. Connect push rod c le v is to sla ck adjuster.
4 . Connect a ir lin e s at cham ber.
5. Start engine and build up a ir p r e ssu r e to
operating le v e l. Make su re knob i s pushed in on
em ergen cy parking brake valve on instrum ent panel.

. Back off nut from "caging" stud in end of
cham ber. R em ove stud and rep la ce in storage
pocket on cham ber housing. Instal rubber cap
over r e le a s e stud hole.
7. Check operation of b rak es.

. Check for a ir lea k s.
