The t e ll-ta le panel is located in front of driver
betw een the sp eed om eter and tach om eter. The t e ll
ta le panel contains a le f t - and right-hand d ir e c
tion al t e ll- ta le , d ifferen tial lock t e ll- ta le , low oil
t e ll- t a le , hot engine t e ll-ta le and a low a ir t e ll- ta le .
The gauge panel, located in con sole to right of
d riv er as shown in figu re 19, contains a clu ste r of
fiv e to nine gauges. Standard gauges include the
engine tem perature gauge, o ilp r e s s u r e gauge, v o lt
m eter, a ir gauge, and fuel gauge. Optional gauges
include the am m eter, a ir induction sy ste m r e s t r ic
tion gauge, a ir brake gauge, and the engine o il
tem perature gauge.
NOTE: N eedle p osition on many gauges is im
m aterial with the control sw itch in "OFF" or
"ACCESSORY" position .
INSTRUMENT PANEL
GAUGE REPLACEMENT
To rem ove gauges shown in figu re 19 from the
c o n so le p roceed a s follow s:
1. D isconnect negative battery cab le from bat
tery term inal or pull m a ster circu it b reak er sw itch
out to p revent accidental grounding. R em ove a c
c e s s panel a s d escrib ed p reviou sly under c h a ssis
junctions.
2. R em ove s c r e w s which attach gauge panel to
co n so le, then tilt panel outward far enough to reach
connections at back of gauges.
3. D isconnect w ir e s an d /or lin e from gauge.
R em ove retaining nuts and w a sh ers, then rem ove
gauge and sp a cer from panel.
