- insert the guiding part of the seal with the valve into the rim slot preliminary sinking the

bottom part of the seal with the tire iron in the tire.

4. To fit the second tire bead to the rim, step on the tire from the side opposite the valve, and

sink this part of the bead in the rim well, herein tire bead should be over the rim in the stop block ar-
ea. If it is difficult to do, upset tire bead part behind the rim seat using the tire irons (see Figure 74).

Holding the bead with the short tire iron first in the bracket area so that it cannot move to

the centre, and then holding it in the rim well with the other iron, starting from the opposite to the
bracket side, move the bead along its round into the seat by using flat and hook-ends of the iron in
turn. Upset the tire bead close to the valve the last, a little bit lower the rim edge to the level provid-
ing installation of the lock ring, otherwise, the valve slot seal will be displaced and further assembly
will be impossible.

5. Mount bead and lock rings, herein matching forge B (see Figure 75) on the lock ring with

one of slots A on the bead ring, and matching the lock ring cut with the stop block on the rim.

6. Check the position of the valve and its seal in the valve slot and correct them, if neces-

sary, connect the tube valve to the wheel valve. Mount the valve on the internal side of the lock ring
stop block, and after valve connection and tire inflation fix it in the farthest position from wheels cen-
tre.

7. Inflate the tire as described below:
- align the bead and lock rings relative to each other;
- inflate the tire up to 50 kPa (0.5 kgf/cm

2

) and check that there is no displacement of lock

and bead rings from their active position. It is recommended to inflate a tire when the wheel is put
horizontally.
