Mount and dismount terminal strips of actuators and control units only when truck 

storage batteries are switched off. 

Change lamp bulbs with dark envelopes not waiting their blowing out. When changing 

the blown bulb, restore optic component tightness. Auto bulbs used on the truck and their specifi-
cations are given in Appendix F. 

4.6.6.2 Installation of Additional Devices to Cabover Trucks

External Consumers Wiring External consumers are wired

 from the truck batteries and 

positive terminal located in the  area of 4 plug connections on the cab front board through addi-
tional fuses of the corresponding capacity not exceeding 20A in total. 

Caution!  It  is  forbidden  to  connect  12  V  devices  to  the  truck  network  (or  a  voltage 

converter should be used). It is also forbidden to connect external consumers directly to one 
storage battery. 

Radio Recorder Mounting 

24 V radio recorder is mounted in the cab upper console (radio 

panel) (see Figure 28) according to the Manual for Radio Recorder. “+” is connected to the truck 
network via additional 15A fuse. Feeding wire having minimum 1.5 mm

 cross-section should be 

laid under the dashboard fixed with clamps to the main wire bunch, then to the radio recorder via 
rubber bushing inside cab side column. 

The recommended radio recorder model is URAL RM-251SA or similar. 
When  wiring  12  V  radio  recorder,  use  4/12  voltage  converter,  which  is  installed  and  fas-

tened  in  the  area  of  the  switching  unit.  Wiring  is  done  according  to  the  scheme  attached  to  the 
Technical  Manual  for  voltage  converter.  Such  converter  can  be  connected  to  the  12  V  lighter 
socket (mounted on the switchboard). 

24 V lighter socket is mounted on the switchboard. “+” is wired to the lighter with 25A fuse. 

Feeding  wire  with  2.5  mm2  cross-section  is  laid  from  feeding  terminal  together  with  cab  main
