- do not take down a wheel with a tire from the hub and do not remove the tire from the rim
before checking that it is completely deflated.
- do not use club hammers, crows, defective or improper installation tool not specified in the
technical documentation which can lead to wheel parts deformation or mechanical damage, tire cuts
and breaks, tube or tire flaps damage;
- do not fit tire to the rim that does not match the size of this tire;
- do not use bead and lock rings from wheels of other type, as they can have different di-
mensions (diameter, tire section) even at trucks of the same model but different manufacturing date
with wheels of different construction;
- do not mount additional bead rings to the rim to reduce its width;
- do not use rims, bead and lock rings with damaged surfaces, out-of-roundness, partial
dimples, cracks, dirty, corroded rings with paint runs;
- do not drive a truck, if at least one nut or other wheel fastener (pin, etc.) is absent, if wheel
discs have wide stud hole, if the wheels have large runout;
- do not use tires with limitedly worn thread pattern (sett remaining height should be 1.6 mm
minimum) or tires with laminated carcass, pealing thread pattern or side wall, non-repaired partial
damages or breaks to cord and open gaps, tire bead ring metal lids damage;
- do not fit tires, which side walls have rubber runs, rubber buffing and burrs of the toe,
scores and damages preventing their fitting;
- assemble and disassemble without harsh force applied to tire irons, force applied should
not lead to their sliding or breaking;
- do not start inflating a tire without making sure that the lock ring is in the correct position
in the rim base groove and that it matches the tire being inflated;
- do not inflate a tire without special guard and fit on the truck, when fitting in field condi-
tions, use special safety devices protecting from parts being burst, if the tire is self-dismantled or the
wheel is broken;
- do not inflate tires from compressed air or gas tanks, as it can cause tire damage and hurt
people around.
Inflate a tire in two steps. First step - until 0.05 MPa (0.5 kgf/cm
2
) and check the position of
the lock ring, then inflate the tire until nominal value. If the lock ring is installed incorrectly, deflate
the tire, correct ring position and repeat inflation up to 0.05 MPa (0.5 kgf/cm
2
).
If tire beads are not tightly seated on the rim after being inflated, deflate the tire, dismantle it
and eliminate the cause of bad seat, after that mount the tire again on the rim, inflate the tire and
check tire beads tightness;
- do not change the position and do not hammer lock and bead rings when tires being inflat-
ed or deflated, as well as when a tire is under pressure.
