III  -  stand-by  mode  -  maintaining  the  engine  temperature  and  cab  heating  during  long-

term parking (heater valve is open). 

When the truck is parked for a long term, stop the engine, switch on the heater, turn the 

cab  fan  thermal  regulator  handle  on  the  heater  remote  control  to  the  proper  position  (cab  heater 
switch should be “OFF”). 

 

1-engine  fluid  outlet  hose;  2-engine  starting  heater;  3-engine  fluid  inlet  hose;  4-heater  bracket;  5-heater

4.1.3 Gas Exhaust System

 

Gas exhaust system is dedicated to discharge emissions and to reduce exhaust noise. 
The exhaust system uses wear-resistant secondary brake (installed into the engine) that is 

connected with metal pipe 1 by the outlet pipe 2 (see figure 39). Metal pipe 1 aims to compensate 
temperature changes of part dimensions and mutual movement of the engine and the muffler. The 
muffler 4 is fixed by the brackets welded to the frame cross members. End of the muffler outlet 
pipe 5 is directed to the truck base.
