4.9.4 Tire Pressure Control System 
 

Tire pressure control system (for a conventional cab truck) is shown in Figure 152, and it allows 
pressure  control  and  pressure  maintaining  within  the  normal  limits,  as  well  as  off-road  perfor-
mance  due  to  tire  pressure  decrease.  It  allows  the  truck  to  continue  moving  without  wheel  re-
placement, if a tire is damaged (

wheel valves of damaged wheels should be closed

).  

Air supply to the tires has a two-wire scheme. 
Before driving, open the wheel valves and check tire pressure when the switches are in 

neutral position. If necessary, inflate the tires as norms require. Pressure norm for 

425/85R21

 tires 

and 156 lifting capacity  index are given in Table 20. Pressure norm for 

500/70-20(1200х500-508)

 

tires and 156 lifting capacity index are given in Table 21.  

For operative control of tire pressure, wheel valves should be open.
