4.9.2 Additional Power Takeoff 
 

Power is taken from the main shaft of the transfer box through flexible clutch 2 (see Fig-

ure 147) and is used for winch drive. 

Additional Power Takeoff operation is possible at any  gear of the transfer box, neutral 

including.  To  lubricate  gear  bearings  and  transfer  box  shafts  in  the  additional  Power  Takeoff 
crankcase a plunger-type pump is installed.

The  pump  consists  of  the  piston  17  with  pressure  valve  18,  of  safety  valve  20  and  the 

casing 22. The piston with the side rod is mounted on the shaft 3 cam, and when it rotates, the pis-
ton  translates.  To  avoid  excess  pressure  and  rpm  increase,  differential  suction  valve  is  designed 
with a coil spring. Oil is sucked through the tube connected to the transfer box oil bath, and is fed 
to  the  gear  bearings  from  the  pump  through  channels  made  in  the  shaft  3  and  the  transfer  box 
main shaft. Some oil leaks through backlashes and lubricates shaft bearings.

Box”, clause 4.2.4.4 “Transmission Devices Control”.
