Increase engine crankshaft rpm smoothly. Sharp increase of the engine rpm will not lead

to drawbar power increase of the rope, but it can cut the safety pin. When the pin is cut, immedi-
ately disengage the clutch and move the gear lever to neutral, otherwise the shaft can be stuck in
the flange. Replace the cut pin with a new one.

It is forbidden to use bolts or other parts instead of the safety pin.

During the operation it is difficult to determine rope force, that is why before using the

winch, define the reasonableness of using the block approximately considering the certain condi-
tions.

Usage of the winch with the block is shown in Figure 151. To pull the winch rope,

unsplint and loosen the nut from the block lower axis with the distance piece, pull the axis out, put
the rope in the block groove and mount it back and fix. When using the block without the hook,
apply the towing cable supplied with the truck.

If the block is used to increase drawbar force when self-winching (position I), it will be

fixed to an object selected as a support by the towing cable, and the winch rope hook is fixed to
the towing device hook. If the hook is used to change drawbar direction when winching another
vehicle (position II), it is then fixed to an object used as a support via the towing cable, and the
winch rope hook is fixed to the towing hook of the towed vehicle. if the block is used to increase
drawbar force when towing another vehicle (position III), it is fixed to the towing hook or the
towing cable put on the towing hooks of the towed vehicle, and the winch rope hook - to a fixed
object via second towing cable. The winch rope can be fixed directly to a fixed object, herein the
hook is attached to the cable preliminary tensioned.

To avoid winch gearbox overheating do not pull a cargo with wholly unwound rope

more than three times in sequence with maximal or close to maximal load.

Lay the winch hook in at carry (see Figure 151), (position IV).
