4.2.1.4

Clutch Air-Over Hydraulic Booster

consists of the body 1 (see figure 46) having

the piston 5 and the rod 4 inside. The piston with the rod is flexibly sealed in the body and can
move in the axle direction. The piston is sealed in the body by rubber seal 9, and the rod is sealed
by two rubber O-rings 3.

The body from the piston side is covered by the lid 6 where the rod enters. A fork 8 is fixed

on the rod end; the booster is fixed to the clutch release fork lever with it. Rubber scraper 7 which
cleans the rod from dirt and prevents its access to the body is installed in the centre of the lid 6.

On the other side of the body 1 fork 14 is installed; the booster is fastened to the gearbox

trough the bracket and the fork. The fork 14 has a flange sealed in the body with the rubber ring
13. Body bottom has a drain hole 10 having rubber valve. The valve protects the body from dirt
access.

The upper part of the body has a valve 2 to evacuate air from D chamber. Air-over hydraulic

booster control valve is bolted to the body 1 with two bolts; the control valve consists of the hous-
ing closed by the plugs 15 and 21 from both sides. Spool 20 and air valve 17 are located inside the
body 8. The spool is flexibly sealed in the body with two rubber rings and spring loaded to the
body by a coil cylindrical spring 19. The spring 19 moves the spool 20 from the air valve until
contact with the plug 21. The spool has axial and radial holes connecting F and G chambers.
