To switch on or off the storage batteries press button 9 (see figure 32) located on the
switches board.
Emergency alarm is actuated by pressing button 5, herein all direction indicators, lamp
in the switch, indicators 6, 11 (see figure 29) and indicator 13 (if a trailer is connected) start flash-
ing.
Sidelights, panel lighting and headlights are switched on by selector 21 according to fig-
ure 32:
- sidelights and panel lighting are switched on in position 1;
- headlights and indicator 4 (for dimlights) or 14 (for high beams) are switched on in po-
sition 2 according to figure 29;
Rear fog lights are on after switching headlights with switch 19 (see figure 32), herein
indicator 12 is flashing (see figure 29).
To actuate the locks press the interaxle differential lock 16 first (see figure 32), then
press press the cross-axle differential lock switch 15. Indicator lights 21, 23, 24 (see figure 29)
should flash on and stay flashing while the differentials are locked. If the locks are switched and
the differential are not locked and indicator lights are not flashing, move the truck from a stand-
still smoothly and wait until the differentials are locked and the indicators are on.
Low gear and neutral of the transfer box are switched on by selector 2 and switch 1 (see
figure 32), when low gear is actuated indicator 22 starts flashing (see figure 29). Detailed descrip-
tion of gear shfting read in paragraph “Transfer Box” hereof.
The tachograph 5 (see figure 24) and the tachograph 22 (see figure 28) are installed on
the truck (except chassis). Construction description and operation and maintenance instructions
are given in the attached Tachograph Installation and Operation Manual.
3.3 Subscription Station
The trucks are equipped with subscription station dedicated for manual emergency oper-
ator call, transfer of minimum information describing the truck, its location coordinates, time and
direction, severity of accident, as well as load speaking of the truck user with
“
ERA-GLONASS
”
(Russian state system of emergency response operation) state federal system operator.
The appearance of user interface unit in the cab is shown in figures 24 and 32. User in-
terface unit consists of “service” button 21 (see figure 24) and 5.2 (see figure 32) with highlight-
ing, it is used to go to test mode and to exit “Emergency call” mode initiated in manual mode. The
“Microphone” button 22 (see figure 24) and 5.1 (see figure 32). The “State indicator” button 20
(see figure 24) and 5.4 (see figure 32). The “SOS” emergency button - 23 (see figure 24) and 5.3
(see figure 32).
The user interface unit switches on automatically when power supply is on.
