Is there any paper remaining on the paper transport path in the saddle stitcher section in the
finisher?

YES
Remove the paper.
NO
Is the connector CN16 (folding position sensor) on the finisher controller PC board discon-
nected?
Is the harness connecting the finisher controller PC board and folding position sensor open-
circuited?
#
YES
Connect the connector securely. Replace the harness.
NO
Is the folding position sensor working properly?
#
NO
Replace the sensor.
YES
Replace the finisher controller PC board.
