CASE 3: Start, Stop and Increment_log
Start, stop and increment can be set using the [START], [STOP] and [INĆ
CREMENT_LOG] selectors, respectively.
Start and stop are the start and stop values for logarithmic sweep. IncreĆ
ment_log is number of divisions per decade into which the logarithmic
sweep step is divided. The sweep step value driven from the increment_log
becomes increment or decrement value depending on whether the start
value is smaller than the stop value. Start and stop must have the same
parity sign. When the stop value with a minus parity is entered while the start
value is being set to plus parity, for example, the parity of the start value is
automatically changed to minus. At this time, direction of the increment_log
is also changed.
The choices available are shown in Table 3Ć23.

Choices
Descriptions
1/dec
Divided by 1 per decade.
10/dec
Divided by 10 per decade.
20/dec
Divided by 20 per decade.
40/dec
Divided into 40 per decade.
When the measure mode is set to ROUND SWEEP, the outgoing sweep step
values may not correspond to those returning. For example, when the Start,
Stop and Increment_log are set to 1 mV, 8.425 mV and 10/dec respectively,
the values for the outgoing sweep step are:
1,
ă
1.25,
ă
1.575,

3.15,

and the values taken in sweep step returning are approximately:
1.05,

1.325,

2.65,

CASE 5: Start, Stop, Increment and Steps
Start, stop, increment and steps can be set using the [START], [STOP],
[INCREMENT] and [STEPS] selectors, respectively.
Start and stop are the start and stop values for step generator operation.
Increment is the increment or decrement value and steps is the number of
steps which are taken in the step generator's operation. Increment must
always be an absolute value. If the start is larger than the stop, the value
entered becomes an increment value and if the start is smaller than the
stop, it becomes a decrement value. Use the following rules for setting the
values.
H
When the start value is changed - the stop value is changed according
to the increment value, step value and start value that are currently set.
