After the configuration is complete, compliance, measure range, protective
resistance, etc. and actual output values must be set for each power source
unit in the Source Setup section.
Since display of the Source Setup section varies depending on the configuĆ
ration, setups should be made according to the display.

ăStep 12:ă
Select a measure range (see Figure 3Ć20).
These settings let the 372 set the sense resistance of the voltage or
current monitor circuits of the HPU and/or LPU. Since the sense resisĆ
tance should be set according to the range of the voltage or current
monitor, set the voltage range when the SMU is in the I" mode and the
current range when it is in the V" mode.
The measure range can be selected in the Voltage Range popĆup menu
or in the Current Range popĆup menu driven by the [MEASURE RANGE]
selector (see Figure 3Ć21). These popĆup menus appear depending on
the source mode set for the SMU.
When an accurate measurement is required, select the smallest meaĆ
sure range that can perform the target measurement. If the measureĆ
ment value is outside the range the measurement will be stopped, and
the message measuring range limit reached" will appear in the mesĆ
sage display zone.
NOTE
When the [AUTO] box is selected in the popĆup menu, the 372
automatically changes the range during measurement.
