Appendix B: Specifications
This appendix lists the nominal traits, warranted characteristics, and typical
characteristics. Nominal traits are described u sing simple statements of fact
rather than in terms of limits. Warranted characteristics are described in
terms of quantifiable performance limits which are warranted. Typical charĆ
acteristics are described in terms of typical or average performance, which
are not warranted.
The electrical characteristics found in these tables of warranted characterisĆ
tics apply when the instrument has been adjusted at an ambient temperaĆ
ture b18 _ C and +28 _ C, and at an ambient relative humidity
below 70%, has had a warmĆup period of at least 40 minutes, and is operatĆ
ing at an ambient temperature b10 and +40 _ C (unless otherwise
noted). The condition of operating ambient relative humidity is 70% or less
at +35 _ C or less, and is linearly derated at 3% per _ C from +35 _ C to
+40 _ C.
Recommended Calibration Schedule
To ensure accurate measurements, check the performance of this instruĆ
ment every 2000 hours of operation (about once each year). Refer to AppenĆ
dix C for calibration procedures.
This subsection contains a collection of tables that list the various nominal
traits of the instrument. Included are electrical and mechanical traits.
