Save and Load Settings, Curves and
Programs
The feature to save and load settings and programs is useful so originals
can be reused or restored after they have been modified for an experiment.
The save and load features of curves can also be used to put them in referĆ
ence memory and to be compared with another set of curves on the graph.
In this section, saving and loading using the [SAVE] and [LOAD] buttons on
the front panel are explained. These features are almost the same as those
of the [SAVE] and [LOAD] soft buttons in the DISK menu. For the handling
of floppy disks, refer to Floppy Disk Handling Precaution later in this section.
Saving or loading is performed in the current working directory of a floppy
disk. If it is necessary to change the current working directory before saving
or loading, change the current working directory using the [CHANGE DIR]
soft button in the DISK menu in advance.
Three types of data can be saved to a file in the current working directory of
a floppy disk using the following procedures.
CAUTION
If a file with same base name and extension (data type) already
exists in the current working directory, saving the new data will
erase the contents previously stored in the file without displaying
any warning message. Before saving a file, always make sure that
no file with same base name and extension exists in the current
working directory.
ăStep 1:ă
Verify that the floppy disk is inserted in the floppy disk drive,
and that you are in the appropriate current working directory.
ăStep 2:ă
Press the [SAVE] button on the front panel to bring up the
SAVE popĆup menu on the CRT (see Figure 3Ć47).
ăStep 3:ă
Select data type to be saved by touching appropriate box in the
TYPE selection box. A file extension is determined automatically accordĆ
ing to the selected data type as shown in Table 3Ć39.
