Start and stop
HPU and LPU operate according to the operating range and resolution in
Tables 3Ć1 through 3Ć7 so parameters should be set accordingly. Refer to
Operating Range and Resolution in Section 2.
CASE 1, CASE 4: Level
Level is a constant voltage or constant current value, and can be set using
the [LEVEL] selector.
CASE 2: Start, Stop and Increment
Start, stop and increment can be set using the [START], [STOP] and [INĆ
CREMENT] selectors, respectively.
Start and stop are the start and stop values for linear sweep. Increment is
the increment or decrement value which is taken for each step in the linear
sweep. Increment must always be an absolute value. If the start value is
larger than the stop value, the value entered becomes an increment value
and if the start is smaller than the stop, it becomes a decrement value.
When the measure mode is set to ROUND SWEEP, the values for the out
going sweep step are:
Start value
ă
+
ă
Increment value
ă
x
ă
n
and the values for the returning sweep step are:
Stop value
Ăă
-
ă
Increment value
ă
x
ă
n
where n indicates nĆth step point. Thus, the outĆgoing sweep step values
going may not correspond to those to the values being returned.
