ONE WAY SWEEP
Sweep measurement mode is set. Each sweep is
made one way
ROUND SWEEP
Sweep measurement mode is set. A sweep is made
in each direction.
TIME DOMAIN
Time domain measurement mode is set.
Display in the Operation Mode Setup section depends on the setup of the
selected measurement mode, so the setup for either measurement mode
can easily be made. If you have selected time domain measurement mode,
skip steps 4 through 7, and go to step 8.

Determine the master/slave relationship of the SMUs (see
Figure 3Ć16).
When the sweep measurement mode is selected in step 3, the HPU
and/or LPU must be identified as the master source and slave source.
The difference between the master source and slave source is deterĆ
mined in sweep mode setting.
The master/slave relation can be chosen by touching the appropriate
box in the Master/Slave popĆup menu driven by the [MASTER/SLAVE]
selector. The choices are as shown in Table 3Ć13.

HPU
Sets HPU to the master source and LPU to the slave source.
LPU
Sets LPU to the master source and HPU to the slave source.
When only one SMU is needed, HPU is always used, and automatically
assigned as the master source. In this case, steps 4, 6 and 7 can be
omitted.
ăStep 5:ă
Select a sweep mode to be set to the master source unit using
the [SWEEP MODE] selector. The choices available are as shown in
Table 3Ć14.
