Moving Along the Curve
When the cursor can be moved along the curve, the knob assignment
selection box which consists of the [NEXT] box and [SKIP] box, is displayed
together with the knob icon (see Figure 3Ć31). By touching the [NEXT] box,
moving the point along the curve is assigned to the general purpose knob.
When multiple curves are displayed, moving the point between curves at a
specified X position is assigned to the general purpose knob by touching
the [SKIP] box.
This type of selection box is called NEXT/SKIP knob assignment selection.
The cursor movement described in Moving Operation in Section 2, OperatĆ
ing Basics, is called HORIZ/VERT knob assignment.
NOTE
In case of the SLOPE cursor, this type of menu is displayed only
when the method of moving the point along the curve is selected.
An example of how to move the cursor is shown below. If only 1 curve is
displayed, start at the third bullet.

Touch the [SKIP] box in the knob assignment selection box.
H
Move the cursor point to the desired curve by turning the knob in either
direction.
H
Touch the [NEXT] box in the knob assignment selection box.
H
Move the cursor point to the desired position on the curve by turning the
knob in either direction.
NOTE
When a selector is touched while the knob assignment selection
box is being displayed, the soft button below may appear instead of
the knob assignment selection box.
ENABLE XXXXX
In this case, touch this soft button to reĆdisplay a knob assignment
selection box.
The purpose of this soft button is to temporarily hide the moving
function with general purpose knob, and to enable the knob to
enter a numeral or select an item in knob entry mode. For example,
all operations to cancel the knob entry mode, touch any point in the
graph or Other Areas, causes a knob assignment selection box to
reĆdisplay.
