If only one SMU is needed, HPU is always used. In this case, LPUV and
LPUI cannot be selected for the XĆaxis, nor are LPUV, LPUI, HPUV & LPUV or
HPUI & LPUV for the Y axis selectable.
If the time domain measurement mode is selected in step 3, time is asĆ
signed to the X axis.
ăStep 9:ă
Set the XĆaxis and YĆaxis to linear or log scale, or set the XĆaxis
to scroll mode or no scroll mode (see Figure 3Ć18).
When the sweep measurement mode is selected in step 3, the [X
SCALE] and [Y SCALE] selectors appear. With these selectors, XĆand
YĆaxis of the graph are set to linear scale ([LIN] box) or log scale ([LOG]
box).
When time domain measurement is selected in step 3, time is assigned
to the X axis. In this case, two display modes:scroll and no scroll modes
are available and can be selected from the popĆup menu. The scroll
mode and no scroll mode are described as follows:
H
Scroll Mode - Mode to automatically scroll the measurement data
displayed along the X axis according to the number of measuring
points. The X axis is expressed in time. There are 3000 maximum
measurement points between X left and X right edges, but only 480
measuring points are displayed. The time elapsed for the measureĆ
ment can be obtained by multiplying the number of points displayed
for the X axis by the value of sampling time (refer to Acquisition
Parameters described later).
In this mode, you cannot adjust X left, X right and/or X division
values. Display of number of points for the X left and X right is autoĆ
matically rewritten according to the scroll during measurement.
NOTE
In scroll mode, measurement data are stored in storage memory.
When the number of measuring points exceeds the 4000 point
memory capacity, new data replaces the existing data. You cannot
save all measurement results to a floppy disk or analyzing the data
after the measurement.
H
No Scroll Mode - Data of 4000 points is displayed fixed between X
left and X right edges. The X axis is expressed by time and you can
change X left, X right, and/or X division values. Refer to Adjusting
Graph Display in this section for the setup of the X axis.
