Self Test
Touching the [DIAGNOSTICS] soft button in the UTILITY menu displays the
Diagnostic menu so you can check if the 372 functions properly.

Test Procedure
As shown in Figure AĆ6, test items are classified into three levels:BLOCK,
AREA, and ROUTINE. Self tests can be performed once (single pass) or
repeatedly (continuous pass) at the these levels. Test results are displayed
on the menu.
Touching the [DIAGNOSTICS] soft button in the UTILITY menu displays the
Diagnostic menu as shown in Figure AĆ7. In default, the Diagnostic menu of
the BLOCK level is displayed first. Menus of three levels are available acĆ
cording to the test item levels. Menus of the AREA level and ROUTINE level
are displayed in the same format as that of the BLOCK level menu as shown
in Figures AĆ8 and AĆ9.
This is how to run a test:
ăStep 1:ă
Select the level at which the test should be run.

To move from an higher level to lower one, select a test item in the
Test Item selection box. When moving from a lower to a higher level,
this step is unnecessary.

Touch the desired level in the level selection box. To move from the
BLOCK level to the ROUTINE level, move first to the AREA level and
then to the ROUTINE level.
ăStep 2:ă
Set the pass mode in the Pass Mode selection box. There are
two choices:single pass mode to carry out the self test once, and
continuous pass mode to repeat the self test.
