• Install the gearshift cam driven gear and pawl lifter.
• Apply THREAD LOCK SUPER to the screws

and tighten
them to the specified torque.
99000-32030: THREAD LOCK SUPER “1303”
or equivalent
Pawl lifter screw: 8.5 N·m (0.85 kgf-m, 6.0 lbf-ft)
• Install the gearshift return spring

, snap ring

and washer

onto the gearshift shaft

NOTE:
When installing the return spring, position the stopper

gearshift arm between the return spring ends

• Install the gearshift shaft assembly

Pinch the gearshift arm stopper

• Install the clutch components parts and right crankcase cover.

• Align the matching mark

on the gearshift shaft head with
slit

of the gearshift lever

• Tighten the gearshift lever bolt

INSPECTION AFTER INSTALLATION
• Engine oil level and oil leakage (
2-12)
• Engine coolant level and coolant leakage (
2-18, -19)
• Smooth operation of gearshift system
Replace the snap ring
G
with a new one.
