12-40 FI SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
4) Connect a 12 volts battery by using the battery lead wire to
the service coupler. (
12-19)
5) Insert the needle-pointed probes to the lead wire coupler.
6) Measure the voltage at the R/Bl wire
A
and ground.
7) If OK, then measure the voltage at the R/Bl wire
A
and B/Br
wire
B
.

Is the voltage OK?
Step 1 (When indicating P0105-H:)
1) Stop the engine.
2) Check the IAP sensor coupler
1
for loose or poor contacts.
If OK, then check the IAP sensor lead wire continuity.
3) Disconnect the IAP sensor coupler.
4) Insert the needle-pointed probes to the lead wire coupler.
5) Check the continuity between R/Bl wire
A
and G/B wire
C
.
If the sound is not heard from the tester, the circuit condition
is OK.
YES
Go to Step 2.
NO
• Loose or poor contacts on the ECM coupler
(terminal
C
or
N
).
• Open or short circuit in the R/Bl wire or B/Br
wire.
