13-4 FUEL SYSTEM AND THROTTLE BODY

• When installing the fuel pump assembly

2

, first tighten all the

fuel pump mounting bolts

3

lightly and then to the specified

torque.



Fuel pump mounting bolt: 10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m, 7.0 lbf-ft)

• Connect the fuel hose

4

to the fuel pump until it locks

securely (a click is heard).



FUEL PRESSURE INSPECTION

• Remove the seat and radiator covers. (



• Remove the fuel tank bolt and rubber band. (



• Lift and hold the fuel tank.
• Place a rag under the fuel hose and remove the fuel hose

• Disconnect the fuel pump coupler

.

• Install the special tools between the fuel pump and fuel deliv-

ery pipe.


