Main Features
Useful operation functions
“Partial Touch Panel Display” with backlighting
The partial touch panel has been placed at the bottom of the large LCD,
which easily displays each function setting or operational steps. You can
directly touch the screen and operate fax transmission settings or paper size
settings for copying, etc. Equipped with backlighting, you can easily operate
the panel in a dark place.
Voice guidance
The MFX-2700 and MFX-2200 give you audio guidance on how to enter
speed dials or clear paper jams. You can easily finish a complicated operation
based on instructions from the voice guidance (page 1-22).
Security function
The MFX-2700 and MFX-2200 are equipped with functions to improve
security, including “Security reception” and the “Dial double-push” function.
By entering a protected passcode, “Security reception” allows you to set it
so that fax documents received after a specified time are not printed. If a
fax number is entered twice using the numeric keys, the “Dial double-push”
function prevents entry of a wrong number (page 6-1).
Energy save mode (Low power mode & Sleep mode)
The energy save mode reduces power consumption. When you do not operate
the machine for a while, the machine automatically switches to low power
mode. If you do not operate for several minutes after that, the machine
switches to the sleep mode to further reduce power consumption (page 1-21).
Soft keys
You can assign ON/OFF settings for frequently-used functions to “Soft keys”.
After registration, you can set ON or OFF for the desired functions through
one-touch (page 8-50).
Macro keys
You can program operational steps for frequently-used functions as “Macro”
keys.
After registration, you can perform a series of key operations through one-
touch (page 8-43).
