Managing Operating Conditions by Department
With the department management function, you can limit the users who can
send faxes and make copies by requiring entry of the department code. You can
also calculate the number of pages of faxes or copies, as well as the copy cost, for
each department code.
• You can protect the department management settings from being changed
(page 6-21).
Operation flow
(1) Register the cost per page for copy or fax charge management (page 5-2).

(2) Register department codes and names (page 5-3).

(3) Set the department management function ON (page 5-5).

(4) Use the department code to make copies and send faxes (page 5-5).

(5) Check the department list for operating conditions (page 5-6).
Registering copy charge (Cost management)
If you collect copy or fax charges per department, register the cost per page of
copy.
NOTE
Before registering the copy cost, you need to register a protect passcode (page 8-33).
