Closed Communication
With the closed communication function, you can limit the destinations for
fax communications to Muratec machines only (excluding some models).
Furthermore, by setting a passcode, you can narrow down the machines to those
that have security functions and also the same passcode registered. For the
closed communication function, you can set transmission and reception options
separately.
Setting the closed transmission
Default: Off
Set the closed transmission.
IMPORTANT
For manual transmission, even if you set the closed transmission “On”, it remains
invalid.
NOTE
• Before setting the closed transmission, you need to register a protect passcode (page
8-33).
• For the passcode setting, refer to “Registering a passcode” (page 6-5).
• For details about the closed communication and the communication range specified
by a passcode, refer to “Passcode and communication range” (page 6-6).

Press <Menu>, <5>, <0>, <9>, [Enter].

Enter the protect passcode using the numeric keys and press [Enter].

Select “Closed Tx” using the cursor keys and press [Enter].
