Basic transmission

Press <Fax> to switch to the fax mode.

Load your document (page 1-59).
When transmitting using the document glass, make sure there are no
documents on the ADF.

Enter the destination fax number.
NOTE
• When you enter the fax number, [Location] is displayed on the screen. To check or
delete the entered number, press [Location] (page 4-4).
• If you register the destination fax numbers in the speed dials in advance, you can
specify the destination using the speed dial, one-touch dial, or address book.
Using the numeric keys
Enter the destination number using the numeric keys and
press [Enter].

• Up to 40 digits can be entered.
• If you enter the incorrect number, press [Clear] and delete it.
• You can enter the dialing symbol (page 3-15).
Using the one-touch keys
Press the one-touch key in which the destination is registered.

The one-touch keys 01 to 56 correspond to the speed dials
001 to 056. For example, when you register the destination in
the speed dial 002, you can specify the same destination by
pressing the one-touch key 02 as well.
