To power on the external light source:
1. Confirm that the MetaXpress software on the acquisition computer is shut down.
2. Confirm that the instrument is running.
3. Confirm that the following instrument interlocks are closed:
All instrument doors are closed.
The Transmitted Light tower is on and the shroud is closed.
4. Confirm that the following external light source interlocks are closed:
The light guide interconnect box is sealed.
The light guide shroud (1) is closed.
The interlock plug (7) is connected.
5. Confirm that the status indicator is off, which indicates that the POWER/STATUS (5) button
is off.
6. Confirm that the master key switch (6) is in the OFF position.
