Testing the Disk Box
Use this procedure to verify confocal disk box is installed and functioning correctly.
To test a disk box:
1. In the MetaXpress software, do one of the following to open the instrument top door:
From the simplified menu, click Screening > Acquisition Setup > Eject Plate.
From the standard menu, click Screening > Plate Acquisition Setup > Eject Plate.
2. Do one the following to display the Device Control dialog:
From the simplified menu, click Control > Devices > Device Control.
From the standard menu, click Devices > Device Control.

3. In the Device Control dialog, click the Illumination drop-down and select [None].
4. Click the Magnification drop-down and select a low magnification.
5. Click Component Control to display the Component Control dialog.

6. In the Component Control dialog, click the Component drop-down and select IXConfocal
Module Disk.
7. Click the Position drop-down and select any Stopped position.
Note: Stopped positions are even numbers.
8. Wait about 2 minutes for the disk to stop spinning.
