Setting Up the CO
2
Tank
A pre-mixed CO
2
tank with a regulator must be set up and connected to the CO
2
inlet on the
ImageXpress Systems Power and Options Controller, which controls the flow rate of CO
2
delivered to the water reservoir within the environmental enclosure.
Before you begin, confirm that the water reservoir is set up. See Setting Up the Water
Reservoir on page 139 .
To set up the CO
2
:
1. Connect the regulator to the CO
2
tank.
2. Connect the tubing from the pre-mixed CO
2
tank regulator to the ImageXpress Systems
Power and Options Controller.
3. Verify that the tubing from the ImageXpress Systems Power and Options Controller to the
instrument is connected.

4. Turn on the CO
2
regulator to approximately 1.03 to 1.38 bar (15 to 20 psi).
