Editing Objective Settings in the Meta Imaging Series Administrator Software
To edit objective settings:
1. Click Start > MetaXpress 6 > Meta Imaging Series Administrator to display the Meta
Imaging Series Administrator dialog.
2. In the List of Groups, select MetaXpress.
3. Click Configure Hardware to display the Configure Hardware dialog.
4. Click Install System Devices to display the Install System Devices dialog.
5. In the Installed Devices field, select ImageXpress Micro Objective.
6. Click Settings to display the ImageXpress Micro Objective Settings dialog.

7. In the Objective # row for the new objective:
a. Click the Objective Label drop-down and select the appropriate label.
b. Click the Refractive Medium/Index drop-down and select the refractive medium and
enter the working distance in the text field, if necessary. If the objective has a range,
enter the higher number.
c. In the Num. Aperture field, enter the numerical aperture for the new objective as is
printed on the objective.
d. In the Working Distance field, enter the working distance. If it has a range, enter the
higher number.
Note: Make a note of these values. You need to enter this information again for
the hardware settings.
8. Click OK in the ImageXpress Micro Objective Settings dialog to display the Install System
Devices dialog.
