Description
Use the stp port priority command to set the priority of the port(s).
Use the undo stp port priority command to restore the system default.
Port priority affects the role of a port in an MSTI.
By default, the port priority is 128.
Note that:
z
Configured in Ethernet interface view, the setting takes effect on the current interface only;
configured in port group view, the setting takes effect on all ports in the port group.
z
Configured in Layer 2 aggregate interface view, the setting takes effect only on the aggregate
interface. Configured on a member port in an aggregation group, the setting can take effect only
after the port leaves the aggregation group.
z
Setting different priorities for the same port in different MSTIs allows VLAN traffic flows to be
forwarded along different physical links, thus to achieve VLAN-based load balancing.
z
When the priority of a port is changed in an MSTI, MSTP will re-compute the role of the port and
initiate a state transition in the MSTI.

Parameters
all : Enables output of port state transition information for all MSTIs.
instance instance-id : Enables output of port state transition information for the specified MSTI. The
minimum value of instance-id is 0, representing the CIST, and the maximum value of this argument is
32.

MSTI or all MSTIs.
