Test Method
This chapter explains the test method using this instrument.
4.1 Starting a Test
The two-stage operation using the
STOP
key and
START
key avoids unnecessary output and
allows a test to start safely.
WARNING
Do not measure insulation resistance while the circuit is energized.
Doing so could damage the instrument or result in bodily injury.
Turn off power to the DUT before measurement.
Do not touch the DUT, tip of the test leads, and measurement terminals
during and immediately after the test (while the TEST indicator is
lighting).
Since these areas are charged with high-voltage electric charge, electric shock
accidents may occur.
Discharge the DUT using the discharge function of the instrument after
the test.
Otherwise, electric shock accidents may occur.
See “4.6 Discharging Residual Electric Charge (Auto Discharge Function)” (p. 56).
1
Set the measurement items.
See “3 Basic Settings” (p. 33).
2
2
Disable the interlock.
See “2.6 Shutting Down the Output of the Instrument (Interlock Function)” (p. 32).
3
Press the
STOP
key.
[READY]
is displayed for approximately 1 second on the Measurement screen.
