Setting the auto range
Syntax
Command
:RANGe:AUTO {ON|OFF}
Description Sets the auto range so that the measurement range is automatically switched.
ON The auto range function switches the range automatically.
OFF The range does not switch automatically and is fixed.
See “3.2 Setting the Range (Auto/Manual)” (p. 36).
Example
:RANGe:AUTO ON
The auto range is set to ON.
Querying the auto range
Syntax Query
:RANGe:AUTO?
Response

Description Queries the auto range setting.
Example
:RANGe:AUTO?
ON
The auto range is ON.
Setting the sampling time (measurement speed)
Syntax Command
:SPEed <Sampling time>
• Sampling time {1 to 100}
Sets the sampling time.
Description Specifies the sampling time.
The sampling time is set in the range between 1 PLC and 100 PLCs.
1 PLC is equivalent to one cycle of a power supply frequency. At 50 Hz, 1 PLC = 1/50 =
20 ms. At 60 Hz, 1 PLC = 1/60 = 16.7 ms. When the sampling time is long, the measured
value is stable, however, the time until the measured value is confirmed becomes longer.
Example
:SPEed 5
The sampling time is set to 5 PLCs.
Querying the sampling time (measurement speed)
Syntax Query
:SPEed?
Response

Returns the sampling time.
Description Queries the sampling time.
