10.1 Repairs, Inspections, and Cleaning
WARNING
Do not attempt to modify, disassemble, or repair the instrument
yourself.
There are some areas inside of the instrument where high voltage is present. These
areas may expose the operator to electric shock or cause fire.
CAUTION
Observe the following when shipping the instrument.
• Remove test leads from the instrument.
• Attach a description of the malfunction.
• Use the packaging in which the instrument was initially delivered and then pack that in
an additional box.
Failure to do so could cause damage during shipment.
Calibration
The calibration period varies with the conditions and environment of use. It is recommended
to determine a calibration period based on those factors and to have the instrument regularly
calibrated by Hioki. Please contact your Hioki distributor to have your instrument periodically
calibrated.
Backing up data
When repairing or calibrating the instrument, we may initialize it or update it to the latest software
version. It is recommended to record the measurement conditions and system settings before
requesting a repair.
