LAN Interface

Connecting a LAN cable

Connect a LAN cable to the LAN connector on the back of the instrument.

CAUTION

If routing a LAN cable outdoors or over more than 30 m, attach a LAN surge

protector or other suitable protective device.

Failure to do so could cause damage to the instrument due to increased susceptibility

to the effects of induced lightning.

Recommended cable: 100BASE-TX or 10BASE-T compatible LAN cable (Both straight and cross

cables can be used.)

Green LED

Lit: Linking

Blinking: Communicating

Orange LED

Off: 10BASE-T

Lit: 100BASE-TX

If the green indicator does not light up even when the LAN is connected, the instrument or
connected instruments may be damaged or the LAN cable may be broken.
