Communications Command Examples
Example of acquiring the time stamp, measurement status, and measured value
The following is an example of acquiring the time stamp, measurement status, and measured
value.
Description
Sent to the BT5525 from
the controller
Example of the BT5525
response
(1) Sets the response details of
measured values.
:MEASure:VALid 7
–
(2)
Test start
:STARt
–
(3) Acquiring the measured
values
:MEASure?
␣␣

␣
0,
␣
1063E+06
(1)
Set the response description so that the time stamp, measurement status, and measured value are
returned. In this example, 7 is set as the logical sum of bit 0 (2
0
= 1) of the time stamp, bit 1 (2
1
= 2)
of the measurement status, and bit 2 (2
2
= 4) of the measured resistance value.
For the response settings, see the
:MEAS:VALid
command.
(2)
Start the test and perform measurement.
(3)
Send the
:MEASure?
query and acquire the measured value.
The time stamp is displayed in milliseconds (ms). If the measurement status is 0, the measured
value is normal. For more details of other measurement status values, see the
:MEASure?
query
description.
Measurement example using auto data output
The following is an example of automatically outputting measurement data to the interface after
measurement.
Description
Sent to the BT5525 from
the controller
Example of the BT5525
response
(1)
Set to output data to the
USB interface as TYPE2.
:SYSTem:COMMunicate
:DATAout USB,TYPE2
–
(2) Sets the response details of
measured values.
:MEASure:VALid 55
–
(3)
Start the test with the test
time set to 4.5 seconds.
:TIMer 4.5;:STARt
–
(4) After the test, a response is
returned.
–
␣␣
4499,
␣␣
0,201.4E+06,+1.
02,+5.05024E-07
(1)
Set to automatically output the measurement result to the interface as the TYPE2 format after the
measurement is completed.
When the type is set to TYPE2, the measurement data is output in the format set by the
:
MEASUre:VALid
command.
(2)
Set the response description so that the time stamp, measurement status, resistance value, voltage
value, and current value are returned.
In this example, 55 is set as the logical sum of bit 0 (2
0
= 1) of the time stamp, bit 1 (2
1
= 2) of the
measurement status, bit 2 (2
2
= 4) of the measured resistance value, bit 4 (2
4
= 16) of the voltage
value, and bit 5 (2
5
= 32) of the current value.
(3)
Perform the test for 4.5 seconds.
(4)
Output the measured value after the test is complete. Receive with the controller.
