Error number, "Error description"

Description

Returns and clears the error, if any. When an error occurs, “1” is set for the ERR bit of the

Status Byte Register (STB) until the error is read by this command or

*CLS

is executed.

An instrument error, however, is not cleared. When an instrument error occurs, the

EXT. I/O ERROR terminal output is turned ON. For details about the error, see “Before

requesting repair” (p. 195).
