NOTE

Appendix 2 Leakage Current Measurement

The term ’earth leakage current’ refers to leakage current that flows from the
protective earth terminal of the equipment to be measured (class
equipment) through the ground wire into the earth.

The 3155 connects a measurement network between the protective earth
conductor of the equipment to be measured and the earth, and measures the
current that flows there.

The changeover box in the diagram is a circuit that changes the power source
polarity and the condition of the equipment to be measured.
