Configuration Parameters
retrans_limit
This Model 5390 parameter defines the number of times the Model 5390 server retransmits a packet
before notifying the LAT user about a network failure. Allowable values range from 4 to 120. The
default value is 8.
ring
This T1 parameter is used to provide the audible ring to the central office for incoming calls. The
default is Y, and the audible ring is sent to the central office. This parameter is used with wink_start
and immediate_start protocols only.
rip_accept
This interface parameter defines the networks for which the Model 5390 server accepts advertised
routes. Table C2-12 lists the valid options; the default is all.

Uses the form [include | exclude] network_list where
include means accept RIP updates only for the networks in
network_list, and exclude means accept all RIP updates
except for those in network_list. You can list up to eight
network IP addresses in network_list.
none
No RIP updates are accepted over the interface.
all
RIP updates for all networks are accepted.
