Alarm Teaching Status
Bit Description
0 Device has not yet been taught-in, no reference orientation set, inclination value not available.
1 Device has been taught-in, reference orientation is set, inclination value is available.
Use system command 0xC0 for teaching-in and defining reference orientation.
Alarm Inclination Status
Bit Description
0 Device is in its taught-in position/orientation.
1 Device is incorrectly oriented; inclination is equal to or greater than the threshold value.
Reference Taught Position
X-, Y-, Z-coordinate values of the reference position set (taught-in) by system command 0x0C.
Values: −16…+16, without vibrations, they should be in the range −1…+1
Unit: g (9.81 m/s2)
Default: –
Inclination Deviation Value
Angle between the taught-in reference orientation and the actual orientation:
Values: 0…180
Unit: Degrees (°)

Set Reference Orientation – Sets the reference orientation of the
actual position of the BVS ID.
Responses: ACK: command successful, reference stored.

Application Reset – Resets the inclination alarm configuration to the
default value of the firmware.
0x82 (130) Reset Factory Settings – Resets the inclination alarm configuration to the default value of the firmware.

This event shows that the BVS ID has lost its original position (taking the threshold value into account). The
mounting of the BVS ID should be checked.
The BVS ID is still functional, but the measured values could be invalid since the sensor.

The device cannot calculate the inclination until the reference position has been taught-in.

