4.4.9.7 Inclination and Installation Aid
Description
This feature offers two functions:
Inclination detection
Installation and alignment aid
The inclination aid detects a deviation in the inclination compared to a reference position. The reference position
can be freely selected and taught in.
The internal position sensor follows the vertical earth axis. Angular deviations to this axis can be recognized,
parallel shifts to the axis or rotation around this axis cannot.
Measurement data for inclination detection:
Measurement range: 0…180°
Resolution: 1°
Accuracy: +/−1°
Measurement period: 1000 ms (data refresh rate = 1 second)
With the inclination detection it can be recognized whether the BVS ID has changed its original installation
position and therefore a possible misalignment and resulting malfunctions can be detected at an early stage.
The configuration can be performed via ISDU parameters.
Using the feature
Switch on, establish IO-Link communication.
Send system command 0xC0.
→ The inclination measurement data is available via ISDU (e.g., 0x2154) or via the process data.
