Device Variant
This parameter indicates which variant is currently set. The device variant can be changed either with this
parameter or by using the IO-Link compatibility mode. If this parameter is written, the device variant is not
changed immediately but instead after the
BVS ID is restarted. If the
device variant is changed via the IO-Link compatibility mode, the change in this parameter is visible immediately.
This parameter is not changed by a reset.
The following device variants are available:
Value Meaning Description
0x0001 (1) Default
Alle 32 bytes of process data are available for the camera
process data interface.
0x0002 (2) Comprehensive Condition Monitoring
Byte 31 of the input data is reserved for the CCM byte. In this
direction, there are only 31 bytes for the camera data process
interface available.

NOTE
After a variant changeover, an inconsistent configuration may occur because there is no automatic
changeover of parameters.
It is therefore recommended that the setup be done in the following order:
Variant setting
Perform factory reset or set valid parameters.

