Get device state (health state)

The device health indicates the status of the BVS ID as defined by NAMUR Recommendation NE107. Clients
can read this variable to determine the device condition.

Description
NORMAL_0 Device is operating properly
FAILURE_1
Process data invalid due to malfunction in the device
or its peripherals. The device is unable to perform its
intended function.
CHECK_FUN
CTION_2
Process data are temporarily invalid due to intended
manipulations on the device.
OFF_SPEC_
3
Although the process data are valid, internal
diagnostics indicate that the device is operating
outside its specified measuring range or
environmental conditions.

Although the process data are valid, internal
diagnostics indicate that the device is close to lose
its ability of correct functioning.

NOTE
For the determination of the device status, only data from the IO-Link controller are evaluated. The
states of the SensorApp are not included in this calculation. For example, the device state does not
change to CHECK_FUNCTION_2, when changing into the Configuration mode in the web interface.

