4.3.3 Process data
The data exchange takes place via the process data, which are mapped in the input and output buffer, or in a
memory field, depending on the control system used. 32 bytes of input data and 32 bytes of output data
including bit strips are used. The assignment is described below. The sub address 0x00 corresponds to the
start address in the corresponding data field.
To transfer commands and data between the
BVS ID
and the controlling system (PLC) the
BVS ID
provides
two fields input and output buffer.
The signaling via the bit strip is currently transmitted in each PLC cycle. Hereby the PLC recognizes at any time
the status of the
BVS ID
and can also send control signals to the
BVS ID
at any time. These fields are
embedded in the process data transmission via the IO-Link master.
NOTE
In the Comprehensive Condition Monitoring (CCM) variant, the 31st byte of the
BVS ID
is filled with the
CCM byte. This means that only 29 bytes are available for transferring the input buffer of process data
and the 2nd bit string is transferred at byte n+30.
