2.2.2.2 IIOT Network
All network settings of the BVS ID can be configured here. A reboot of the BVS ID is required to apply the
changes.
Setting Description
IP address via DHCP
Specifies whether the IP address of the camera will be set dynamically via DHCP or statically.
Static IP address
If the IP address is static, it can be set here.
Subnet mask
You can set the subnet mask here.
NOTE
To connect to the BVS ID after changing network settings, the BVS ID must be plugged in a
corresponding network according to the given settings.

NOTE
When receiving an IP address automatically it sometimes could take a while to be able
to connect to the BVS ID using the host name (until the DNS Server resolves the host
name to the received IP). It is recommended to ask the network administrator to reserve
a fix IP address for the BVS ID.


NOTE
When using a static IP address, the BVS ID is only accessible over the set IP
address, if the host name is not dissolved manually in the DNS list by the
network administrator.
Manual configuration via GUI or via Communication channel (IO-Link master) of
zeroConf IP addresses 169.254.x.x will be rejected by the SensorApp.

NOTE
Use different subnet masks, when using both network interfaces (Gigabit Ethernet and
Fieldbus). Otherwise, you can lose data packages because of unclear routing.

