To Estimate the Fuel Cost of Your Route
Use the following steps to estimate the fuel cost of your route.
1.
Create a route.
2.
Click the
Plan Trip
subtab (in the Route tab). The Plan Trip dialog area displays.
3.
Click
Fuel Cost
. The Fuel Cost Estimate dialog box displays.
4.
Type the fuel rate for your vehicle in the Fuel Rate text box. The fuel rate can often be found in the
vehicle's owners manual.
5.
Type the price of your fuel in the Fuel Price text box. The estimated fuel cost (in U.S. dollars) for your
route automatically calculates when the Fuel Rate and Fuel Price text boxes are populated. The estimated
fuel cost for your route displays in the Total Fuel Cost field.
6.
Click
Close
to close the dialog box and return to the Plan Trip subtab.
