Drive Status:

DRIVE

STATUS

Identifies the tape drive, as follows:

DRIVE 1 – The top tape drive

DRIVE 2 – The second from top tape drive

DRIVE 3 – The third from top tape drive

DRIVE 4 – The bottom tape drive

Type

Identifies the tape drive model. This information is updated at power-up and
after a reset.

Note: “8mm” for Type indicates one of the following conditions:

No tape drive is present in this slot.

A non-Mammoth tape drive is using downlevel firmware that cannot
send status indicators to the library. (For non-Mammoth tape drives,
you must have firmware level 8SC-0793 or above to obtain tape drive
information.)

A Sony AIT tape drive is installed, but the Use Sony AIT configuration
option is set to OFF.

A tape drive firmware error has occurred.
