Now you have to manually set up each item within that department that will
need smart tax. To do this, go to Admin -> Item Maintenance and select the appro-
priate item. Remember you can filter by department here.
Once you have the item selected, choose Page 2 in the settings section. Select
Smart Tax to enable it and save the item. Now when this item is ordered by itself
it will not charge taxes but when ordered with an item not using smart tax, it will
charge tax for both items.
